These are the second halves of the spreads. I'm kind of concerned by how few photos I'm incorporating but his have so much going on that I probably shouldn't be too worried.
The two in the middle seem the most successful. The book spine isn't in a crucial spot, and you have incorporated two images. You could experiment with the symmetry in the second from top by moving the text up on one of the pages, but that may not work well. But I actually prefer the third set more. It has a good color combination, very different images, and no symmetry. You could also do more with the paragraph breaks, a color or shape that introduces another paragraph. Also the page numbers, maybe there is a shape that could mimic the paragraph break. If it is a problem, you could just put the page numbers on the right pages.
Just looked at the first set of spreads and can see that page numbers will be a problem. May just be white on the colored background. Looks like the follow-up comments will be sent to my email---not exactly what I was hoping for.
